Our Commitment to Sustainability

At Screed Works, we believe that supplying quality construction materials and caring for the environment go hand in hand. We are taking real steps to reduce our impact and build a more sustainable business.

Tree Sisters Partnership

We have partnered with Tree Sisters, a charity dedicated to tropical reforestation. For every order placed, we contribute to planting trees in areas of critical deforestation. This helps offset the carbon footprint of our products and logistics while supporting biodiversity and local communities around the world.

Zero Emission Vehicles

We are transitioning our delivery fleet to Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEVs) as part of our commitment to reducing transport emissions. The construction industry accounts for a significant portion of UK carbon emissions, and we believe that every step toward cleaner logistics makes a difference.

Sustainable Supply Chain

We prioritise working with manufacturers who share our environmental values. Many of the products we stock, including Regupol acoustic layers and Tekrubber, are manufactured from 100% recycled materials. We actively seek out products with low environmental impact, including those certified to EMICODE EC1 Plus (very low emission) standards.

Packaging & Waste Reduction

We are working to minimise packaging waste across our operations. Where possible, we use recycled and recyclable packaging materials and consolidate deliveries to reduce the number of vehicle journeys required.
