Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of shop.screedworks.co.uk and the purchase of products from us. By placing an order you confirm that you have read, understood and accept these terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. By ordering you confirm you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.

3. Products

We sell construction materials including bagged screed, resin flooring systems, primers, insulation, floor preparation products, tools and accessories.

  • Product images are illustrative. Bag colours, packaging and minor specifications can vary by manufacturer batch.
  • Product descriptions are accurate to the best of our knowledge, but specifications and technical data sheets supplied by manufacturers take precedence over any description on the shop.
  • Some products are perishable once unsealed and cannot be returned (see our Refund Policy).

4. Pricing and payment

  • All prices are in GBP (£) and shown inclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
  • Delivery costs are added at checkout based on the delivery address and order weight.
  • We accept payment by major debit/credit cards and other methods displayed at checkout.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders if we suspect fraudulent activity, payment failure, or pricing errors. Where a pricing error is obvious we will contact you before processing the order.

5. Placing an order

When you place an order:

  1. You receive an order confirmation email — this confirms we have your order.
  2. We accept your order when we dispatch the goods or send a dispatch confirmation. A binding contract is formed at this point.
  3. If we cannot fulfil any item we will notify you and refund the affected portion of your order.

6. Delivery

  • We deliver across the UK (and selected European destinations where listed at checkout).
  • Standard lead times and shipping costs are shown in our Shipping Policy.
  • Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to the address you provide.
  • You are responsible for inspecting the goods on delivery — see our Refund Policy for the 48-hour reporting window for damaged or incorrect items.
  • For palletised deliveries the customer must ensure suitable access for a HIAB or tail-lift vehicle and a safe drop-off point. Re-delivery fees may apply for failed deliveries.

7. Storage and use of products

Bagged construction materials are perishable and must be stored:

  • Dry, off the floor, away from moisture
  • Out of direct sunlight
  • Within the manufacturer's recommended temperature range

We accept no liability for product failure caused by incorrect storage, mixing, application, or use outside the manufacturer's technical guidelines.

9. Warranties and liability

  • We warrant that products are of satisfactory quality and fit for the purpose described, in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (for consumers) and the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (for trade customers).
  • Manufacturer warranties on individual products apply in addition to your statutory rights.
  • Our maximum liability for any claim arising out of the sale of goods is limited to the purchase price of the goods in question, except where liability cannot be limited by law (death, personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987).
  • Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Trade and account customers

Trade and account customers are subject to our standard credit account terms (where agreed) in addition to these Terms of Service. Trade purchases are not covered by the 14-day consumer cancellation right.

11. Intellectual property

All content on shop.screedworks.co.uk — including text, images, logos, product descriptions, and the Screed Works brand — is the property of Screed Works Ltd or our licensors. You may not reproduce, copy or distribute it without our written permission.

12. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the shop for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
  • Submit false information at checkout
  • Resell our products in breach of any manufacturer terms

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The current version is dated below. The terms in force on the date you place your order are the terms that apply to that order.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
