Product Description
Mapei Mapeband PE 120 is a flexible, 120 mm wide waterproofing joint tape for sealing movement joints, wall–floor junctions and pipe penetrations in wet areas. Coated with non-woven polypropylene on both sides, it bonds securely to cementitious waterproofing membranes such as Mapelastic and Mapegum WPS. Supplied in a 5 m roll.
Key Benefits
Application
Apply a coat of Mapelastic or Mapegum WPS to the joint area. Embed the Mapeband PE 120 tape into the wet membrane, pressing firmly with a spatula to ensure full contact and eliminate air pockets. Apply a second coat of membrane over the tape once the first layer is touch-dry. Maintain minimum 50 mm overlap where tape lengths join. Apply at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C.
Coverage
One 5 m roll covers 5 linear metres of joints. Allow approximately 10–15% extra for overlaps at corners and junctions.
