Product Description
Tekcem Barrier Foam is an expanding foam strip used as a perimeter edge detail in screed installations. Supplied in packs of 66 pieces at 40mm depth, it forms a compressible isolation joint between the screed and walls, columns, and other fixed elements to accommodate movement and prevent cracking.
Key Benefits
Application
Position the barrier foam strips around the full perimeter of the area to be screeded, including around columns, pipes, and any fixed elements. Press firmly against the wall or upstand to ensure the adhesive backing bonds securely. Ensure the foam extends to the full depth of the intended screed thickness. Pour or pump the screed directly up to the foam edge.
Coverage
Each pack contains 66 pre-cut strips at 40mm depth. Total linear coverage depends on strip length — refer to packaging for individual strip dimensions. Allow one strip per wall-floor junction section.
