Product Description
This 500 gauge (125 micron) clear polythene vapour control layer (VCL) is designed to act as a slip membrane and moisture barrier between insulation and screed in floating floor constructions. Its clear finish allows visual inspection of the substrate beneath. Supplied in a 4 m × 25 m roll (100 m²).
Key Benefits
Application
Lay the polythene over the insulation with a minimum 150 mm overlap at all joints. Tape overlaps with polythene tape to prevent screed ingress. Turn up at perimeters behind the edge insulation strip. Take care to avoid puncturing during installation. Trim flush with the finished floor level after the screed has cured.
Coverage
Each roll covers 100 m² (4 m × 25 m). Allow approximately 10–15% extra for overlaps and wastage depending on room layout.
