ARDEX DPM 1 C is a one-coat, solvent-free, two-component epoxy damp proof membrane and residual moisture suppressant for sound concrete slabs and cement/sand screeds with readings up to 98% RH. It can be used where a structural DPM is missing or ineffective, so levelling and floorcovering work can go ahead without waiting for the slab to dry.

Application

Mix the pre-gauged hardener (Component B) fully into the resin (Component A) with a slow-speed drill and paddle; working time is approx. 20 minutes at 20°C. Apply one even coat with a V-notched trowel, then flatten the ridges with a short-pile roller while still wet. Apply above 10°C. Calcium sulphate screeds: only up to 90% RH and only if ARDEX's conditions are met (screed manufacturer's approval, effective structural DPM, no underfloor heating), check the datasheet.

Coverage

Per 10 kg unit: approx. 25 m² at 250 microns (up to 85% RH), 21 m² at 300 microns (up to 92% RH) or 18 m² at 350 microns (up to 98% RH, or where no DPM is present).
