Flowcrete Isocrete 1500 is a fast-drying, protein-free underlayment for all-purpose levelling of concrete floors before floor coverings are laid, from 0 to 20 mm hand applied (4 to 20 mm pumped). It reaches 33 N/mm² compressive strength at 28 days (C30-F8) and suits jobs where commercial floor finishes need to go down quickly.

Application

Substrate should be a minimum of 25 N/mm², free from laitance, dust and contamination, and dry to 75% RH (BS 8203). Prime with Isocrete Primer at approx. 0.05 kg/m²; where RH is above 75% or there is no DPM, use Hydraseal DPM with a dry silica sand scatter. Mix one 25 kg bag with 4.5–4.8 litres of clean water. Pour onto the primed floor and spread to the required level. Lay at 5–25°C. Protect from draughts and strong sunlight for the first 24 hours, then ventilate to allow drying.

Coverage

Approximately 11.9 kg/m² at 7 mm thickness (about 1.7 kg/m² per mm). One 25 kg bag covers approx. 2.1 m² at 7 mm.
