Flowcrete Isocrete M-Bond Extra (black) is a 2-pack, solvent-free epoxy applied as the second coat over Isocrete M-Bond (red) to give a damp-proof membrane and bonding agent in one system. It is used for bonding and damp-proofing cementitious and polymer-modified cementitious screeds to concrete, particularly Isocrete K-Screed, Isocrete Fast-K Screed, Isocrete Screedfast and Isocrete Isogran.

Application

The substrate must be surface dry with no ground water pressure. Apply a first coat of Isocrete M-Bond (red) at approx. 0.5 kg/m². Overcoat with M-Bond Extra after 6 hours at 20°C (12 hours at 10°C) and within 24 hours, after 24 hours, wire-brush the M-Bond to dull the glossy surface first. Mix by adding all of Hardener B to Base A (3:1 by weight, 2:1 by volume) with a slow-speed drill and helical spinner, without entraining air, and use within 60 minutes at 20°C. Apply at 10–25°C (no less than 5°C), at least 3°C above dew point. Lay the screed while the coating is still fluid or tacky, a fully cured, tack-free surface will act as a de-bond layer.

Coverage

Approximately 0.4 kg/m² for the M-Bond Extra coat, over an M-Bond first coat at approx. 0.5 kg/m². 12 kg of M-Bond Extra covers approx. 30 m².
