Product Description
Pliteq GenieMat Sound Control Underlayment is a recycled rubber acoustic mat available in 3 mm and 5 mm thicknesses, designed to reduce impact sound transmission beneath hard-surface floor finishes such as tile, vinyl plank and wood flooring. Its slim profile makes it ideal where build-up height is limited while still providing effective acoustic performance for multi-storey buildings.
Key Benefits
Application
Lay mats on a clean, level substrate with edges butted tightly together. Secure butt joints and seams with duct tape or carpet tape (floating installation) or bond the mats with GenieMat FAS1 adhesive (glue-down). Use in conjunction with GenieMat PMI perimeter isolation strip. Install the floor finish directly over the mats following the flooring manufacturer's instructions.
Coverage
Roll and sheet sizes vary by product variant, refer to specific dimensions for area per unit. Allow approximately 5% extra for trimming and overlaps at joints.
