Product Description
Pliteq GenieMat Sound Control Underlayment is a recycled rubber acoustic mat available in 3 mm and 5 mm thicknesses, designed to reduce impact sound transmission beneath screeds and floating floors. Its slim profile makes it ideal where build-up height is limited while still providing effective acoustic performance for multi-storey buildings.
Key Benefits
Application
Lay mats on a clean, level substrate with edges butted tightly together. Bond joints with Pliteq GenieBoard Glue or tape to prevent screed ingress. Turn up at perimeters by a minimum of 50 mm or use in conjunction with perimeter edge strips. Install a polythene slip membrane over the mats before pouring liquid screed. Minimum screed depth as per screed system manufacturer guidance.
Coverage
Roll and sheet sizes vary by product variant — refer to specific dimensions for area per unit. Allow approximately 5% extra for trimming and overlaps at joints.
