Product Description
Kingspan Kooltherm K103 is a premium phenolic floorboard insulation with a fibre-free rigid thermoset core and low-emissivity foil facings. It offers the lowest thermal conductivity of any commonly available insulation material (0.018 W/mK), allowing thinner build-ups to achieve the same U-values as thicker alternatives. Available in thicknesses from 25 mm to 150 mm.
Key Benefits
Application
Lay boards over a DPM on a clean, level substrate. Butt joints tightly and stagger in a brick-bond pattern. Tape all joints with foil tape to maintain vapour resistance. Install a polythene slip membrane over the insulation before screeding. Ensure boards are stored flat, dry and protected from prolonged UV exposure. Cut with a fine-toothed saw or sharp knife.
Coverage
Standard board size is 2400 mm × 1200 mm (2.88 m² per board). Thermal conductivity: 0.018 W/mK. R-values range from 1.35 m²K/W at 25 mm to 8.10 m²K/W at 150 mm.
