Product Description
Mapei Mapeband PE120 External Angles are pre-formed 90-degree corner pieces for waterproofing external angles in wet rooms, bathrooms, and shower areas. Manufactured from polyester mesh bonded to impermeable PVC fabric, these elastic profiles provide seamless waterproofing at critical external corner junctions. Designed for use with the Mapegum WPS liquid membrane system.
Key Benefits
Application
Apply Mapegum WPS at 1mm minimum thickness to both surfaces of the corner junction. While the membrane is still fresh, embed the mesh portion of the corner piece using a smooth trowel. Allow to cure (approximately 5 hours at 20°C) before applying subsequent membrane layers. For absorbent substrates, pre-treat with Mapei Primer G (diluted 1:1 to 1:2 with water).
Coverage
One pre-formed corner piece per unit. Tape thickness: 0.7mm; width: 120mm. Use in conjunction with Mapegum WPS (approximately 1.2 kg/m² in two coats).
