Building A Band of Brothers
Product Description
Mapei PLANIPREP FIX is an ultra-fast drying, fine-grained, thixotropic cementitious skimcoat compound for the repair and levelling of interior floors and steps. Applied from a feather edge up to 4mm, it leaves a very smooth, closed surface ready for resilient and textile floor coverings in approximately 30 minutes.
Key Benefits
Application
Ensure the substrate is dry, sound, clean and free from dust, laitance and contaminants. Prime highly absorbent and calcium sulphate substrates (e.g. Eco Prim T Plus); on existing tiles or natural stone apply a coat of Eco Prim T Plus or Eco Prim Grip Plus. Mix 4 kg with 1.4–1.5 litres of clean water using a variable speed drill until smooth and lump-free. Workable for approx. 7 minutes at +23°C, so only mix what can be applied in that time. Apply and smooth with a flat-edged trowel. Apply at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C. Interior use only — not for use as a wearing surface.
Coverage
Approximately 1.25 kg/m² per mm of thickness. One 4 kg bag covers approximately 3.2 m² at 1 mm.
