Product Description
Pliteq PMI Perimeter Isolation Strip is a closed-cell polyethylene foam strip used to acoustically decouple floating screeds from walls, columns, and other vertical surfaces. It prevents sound flanking at perimeters and allows for natural thermal movement of the screed, reducing the risk of edge cracking.
Key Benefits
Application
Fix the strip to all walls, columns, door frames, and upstands before pouring the screed. Peel off the adhesive backing and press firmly into place. Ensure strips are butted tightly at corners with no gaps. The strip should extend from the substrate to at least the finished screed level. Trim flush after screed installation and floor covering.
Coverage
Supplied in rolls of 25 linear metres × 200 mm height × 5 mm thickness. One roll provides 25 m of perimeter isolation. Calculate the total perimeter length of the room (including around columns and upstands) to determine the number of rolls required.
