Ronafix Pre-packed Floating Screed 35mm+ is a pre-packed, two-component polymer modified screed for laying floating screeds on rigid thermal or acoustic insulation. Each 25 kg pack contains a 22.6 kg bag of factory blended dry components and a 2.4 kg bottle of polymer gauging liquid. It lays floating screeds from 35 mm for residential use and must be covered with a floor finish.

Application

Lay the insulation on a level base so the boards do not rock, and cover it with a 500 gauge polythene slip membrane. Fit isolation joints at doorways, perimeters and openings. Mix for approx. 3 minutes in a forced action mixer or with a high powered slow speed drill and MR4 spiral paddle (do not use a free fall mixer; not suitable for pumping). Place, compact, rule and close with a float or trowel; working time is approx. 45 minutes at 20°C. Lay screeds over 50 mm wet on wet in more than one layer. Keep at least 20 mm cover over 16 mm underfloor heating pipes. Cure under tight-fitting polythene for 24 hours, then air cure. Heavy traffic after 3–5 days at 20°C. Check the manufacturer's datasheet before use.

Coverage

Per 25 kg pack: approx. 0.31 m² at 35 mm, 0.27 m² at 40 mm, 0.22 m² at 50 mm or 0.14 m² at 75 mm (11 litre yield; approx. 91 packs per m³).
