Product Description
Ronafix Pre-packed Wearing Screed 15mm+ is a pre-packed, two-component polymer modified granolithic wearing and levelling screed. Each 25 kg pack contains a 22.6 kg bag of factory blended dry components and a 2.4 kg bottle of polymer gauging liquid. Its superior physical properties mean it can be laid much thinner than unmodified screeds, from 15 mm bonded. Bonded applications need Ronacrete Standard Primer (sold separately).
Key Benefits
Application
The substrate must be sound (min. 25 N/mm² compressive, 0.8 N/mm² pull-off), dry (below 75% RH) and have an effective DPM; if not, use RonaFloor Epoxy DPM beneath the screed. Shot blast, plane or scabble to expose aggregate, vacuum, then wet thoroughly with clean water and remove surplus. Brush on Ronacrete Standard Primer (1.5–2 m² per kg) and lay the screed onto the wet or tacky primer. Mix for approx. 3 minutes in a forced action mixer or with a high powered slow speed drill and MR4 spiral paddle (not suitable for pumping). Compact, rule and close with a float or trowel; working time is approx. 45 minutes at 20°C. Lay over 40 mm wet on wet in more than one layer. Cure with Ronacrete Curing Membrane, or polythene for at least 24 hours. Heavy traffic after 3–5 days at 20°C. Check the manufacturer's datasheet before use.
Coverage
Per 25 kg pack: approx. 0.73 m² at 15 mm, 0.55 m² at 20 mm, 0.27 m² at 40 mm or 0.22 m² at 50 mm (11 litre yield; approx. 91 packs per m³).
