Product Description
Ronascreed 1 Day Overlay is a rapid-drying screed additive that allows traditional sand–cement screeds to receive floor coverings in just 24 hours. It replaces Portland cement in the screed mix, providing controlled shrinkage, high early strength and dramatically reduced drying time, making it ideal for fast-track refurbishment and new-build projects.
Key Benefits
Application
Replace the Portland cement in the screed mix with Ronascreed 1 Day Overlay at the same ratio (typically 1 part to 3–4 parts sand by weight). Add water sparingly — the mix should have a semi-dry, earth-moist consistency. Lay, compact and level as per standard screed practice. Walkable in approximately 6–12 hours, ready for floor coverings from 24 hours at 20°C. Apply at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C.
Coverage
One 20 kg bag replaces 20 kg of Portland cement. For a typical 4:1 sand–cement screed at 50 mm depth, approximately 20 kg covers 4–5 m².
