Product Description
RonaScreed Self Smooth Primer is an acrylic copolymer dispersion sealer and primer. Diluted with water, it is an economical way to seal concrete substrates and minimise pin-holing in RonaScreed Self Smooth Screed, and it is also used as the bonding primer for RonaScreed Self Smooth Screed.

Application
Mechanically prepare the substrate (scabble, mill or shot blast) to remove all laitance and contamination and leave a clean, aggregate exposed finish; test and assess to BS 8204-7, then vacuum. Seal: apply one or more coats diluted with 5 parts water at 0.62 litres/m² and allow to dry for no more than 36 hours. A sheen on the surface indicates adequate sealing; very porous substrates may need two or more coats. Prime: apply one coat diluted with 3 parts water at 0.71 litres/m², brushed well in. Lay RonaScreed Self Smooth Screed while the primer is tacky, typically 2–4 hours after application at 20°C and 65% RH. Check the manufacturer's datasheet before use.
Coverage
Divide the floor area by 3.5 to get the litres of primer needed for one sealing coat and one priming coat (e.g. 1000 m² ÷ 3.5 = 286 litres). On that basis a 5 litre unit seals and primes approx. 17.5 m² and a 25 litre unit approx. 87.5 m².
