Product Description
Quartz 0–4 mm Screed Aggregate is a high-purity, kiln-dried silica sand graded to 0–4 mm for use as the aggregate component in cementitious and resin-bound screed systems. Its consistent grading ensures uniform mixing, reliable compaction and a smooth finish, making it an essential material for liquid screeds, resin flooring and specialist toppings. Available in 25 kg bags and 1000 kg bulk bags.
Key Benefits
Application
Add to the screed mix at the ratio specified by the screed system manufacturer. For cementitious screeds, typically mix with cement and water at a 3:1 or 4:1 aggregate-to-cement ratio. Ensure thorough mixing to achieve a uniform consistency. Store in dry conditions away from moisture before use.
Coverage
Coverage depends on screed system and depth. As a guide, approximately 20 kg of aggregate per m² per 10 mm screed depth is typical for cementitious mixes. One 1000 kg bulk bag covers approximately 50 m² at 10 mm depth.
