Product Description

Tekpol SBR is a styrene-butadiene rubber latex additive used to improve the performance of cementitious screeds, renders, and repair mortars. Available in 25-litre and 1000-litre containers, it enhances bond strength, flexural strength, and water resistance when added to sand/cement mixes.

Application

Add Tekpol SBR to the gauging water before mixing with cement and sand. Typical dilution ratios are 1 part SBR to 3–4 parts water for general use, or neat for bonding slurries. Mix thoroughly to achieve an even, lump-free consistency. Apply the modified mix by trowel or pump as required. Ensure the substrate is clean and properly prepared. Do not apply below 5°C.

Coverage

Usage rate varies depending on application and dilution ratio. For bonding slurries, approximately 0.5L per m². For modified screeds, approximately 1–2L per m² depending on thickness and mix ratio. Refer to technical data sheet for specific mix designs.
