Aluminium foil tape is a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape with a pure aluminium backing, designed for sealing joints between foil-faced insulation boards in floor, wall and roof constructions. It maintains the vapour barrier continuity across board joints, preventing moisture ingress and ensuring the insulation system performs as designed.

Key Benefits

Application

Ensure insulation board joints are tight and clean. Peel the backing liner and press the tape firmly over the joint, overlapping each board edge by a minimum of 25 mm on each side. Smooth down with a roller or by hand to ensure full adhesion. Apply at corners, pipe penetrations and any breaks in the foil facing. Store in dry conditions before use.

Coverage

Linear coverage depends on roll length and joint layout. Typical rolls are 45 m or 50 m in length. Allow approximately 10% extra for corners and overlaps.
