RUBBERfon Impact is a recycled rubber acoustic resilient layer available in 3 mm and 6 mm thicknesses, designed to reduce impact sound transmission through floor constructions. Installed beneath screeds and floating floors, it helps multi-storey buildings achieve the acoustic requirements of Building Regulations Part E and Robust Details.

Application

Lay sheets or rolls on a clean, level substrate with edges butted tightly together. Tape all joints with waterproof tape to prevent screed ingress. Turn up at perimeters by a minimum of 50 mm or use in conjunction with perimeter edge strips. Install a polythene slip membrane over the resilient layer before pouring liquid screed. Minimum screed depth as per screed manufacturer guidance.
